Our Story

Keong Saik Bakery was founded in 2017, with its first store in a shophouse along the famed Keong Saik Road.

Passionate about blending traditional and modern flavours, the bakery pays homage to the vibrant history of Singapore, and the legacy of people that lived at Keong Saik Road.

Inspired by Cantonese opera and the resilient Shunde women, known as Majie, the founder created the Sor Hei bun (梳起 in Cantonese). This pastry celebrates their elegant hair buns, symbolising their vow of celibacy.

Heritage With A Twist

Singapore's food story is written in layers — old-school flavours passed down through generations, now meeting contemporary bakery technique. That tension is exactly where we live.

We take the tastes that feel like home and reimagine them with the precision of a modern pastry kitchen. The result is food that feels nostalgic and new at the same time.

All our products are made with no pork and no lard, so every team, every table, every occasion is welcome.

Our flagship store now stands at Luzerne Building, 70 Bendemeer Road, with a second outlet at Chip Bee Gardens, 44 Jalan Merah Saga.

Singapore's offices trust Keong Saik Bakery for board meetings, team lunches, client appreciation days, and everything in between. Our catering bundles start from 20 pax and are designed to land looking good and tasting better.
